A red-brown body with a large, beige head that recedes to a lovely film-like layer of bubbles that sticks around.
Aroma of figs, caramel, raisins, and candi sugar. Candi sugar and dark fruits turn to an interesting, perfumey and roasted malt flavour. Finishes dry with a note of cocoa and rum that stays with you.
Easy going, yet a well-balanced and complex Belgian Dubbel from Westmalle.
"Living" beer is re-fermented in the bottle, meaning that the taste is developing all the time. No two glasses are the same !
